I'm happy to say that my book is finally published! Its amazing to finally hold it in my hands after all this time. If you sign up for my newsletter I'm giving away 1 copy of the book. Or you can purchase it
here. I got an incredibly lovely note in the mail last week from Audrey, the author. After all this time it was great to finally make that connection.
a giveaway! how lovely of you. i met my husband when i was 16 and worked in an ice cream store. i'm not sure if it was the pink and white striped dress uniform or the attractive hairnet, but it's lasted 32 years so far, so i don't care! thanks for the chance and the book looks like a whole cuppa cute!
ReplyDeleteHappy your book is published. I love the premise and have become a fan of your art (the sweater you showed in your first newsletter makes me covetous). My story: Though we knew each other in elementary school, my best friend and I really became close when we discovered a mutual crush on our 8th grade English teacher. We could walk home together, invent the most outrageous stories about him and his (imagined) hairdresser girl friend. A bit later, we became enchanted with a musical comedy singer/dancer and stalked him as only teenage girls (a) with a car and (b) who lived close to Hollywood can do. We are now 70. We both enjoy cake quite a bit. Nice giveaway, thank you. xo
ReplyDeleteYay! So exciting! I met my husband in the Army of all places. We have been married ten years now and have four boys. Painting and being creative keeps me sane!
ReplyDeleteI received mine in the mail this week! What a combo-your fabulous art and cake recipes. I've already made the chocolate marshmallow southern comfort cake!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting! So many of your drawings in one place!
ReplyDeleteI met my husband at the private school where we both worked. We got married at the chapel there with many of our students in attendance. My husband still works there and we have two sons who go there (my husband has taught one of them for the last three years!). The older one is about to graduate in June and we just celebrated our 20th anniversary. It's a nice tale.
As a baker and an August Wren fan, I can't wait to see the book!
I met my husband at Unity. He was sitting near the front and i was sitting near the back. He kept turning around and looking at me. Afterwards he came up to me and we started talking---your book has been on my wishlist at Amazon ever since I read on your blog a long time ago that you had illustrated it so I would LOVE to win a copy!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the great stories! It's so much fun to read them.
ReplyDeleteI'll be choosing in a few days.. I'm waiting for the books to arrive from the warehouse!!
