A few years ago I was in Istanbul. This is a view
from my hotel room, straight from my sketchbook.
The warm colored houses were all piled up on the
hill. That week was like a feast, of delicious food,
beautiful neighborhoods, textures, the way the city is
situated on the river. The mosaics in the mosques,
and the friendly people we met. I would love to return
there someday....

This is so pretty...I have never been to Istanbul but I would love to go. This would be a travel poster...
